I guess I can’t announce every new installment of Josh Neufeld’s “After the Deluge” project, since it’s going to go on for a long time and there will be a lot of it. So after this, it’ll be up to you to keep track on your own, if you want to. Anyway Chapter One just went up, and you can check it out here.
Also on that site, they’re posing some sound files, including a brief one of Brobson Lutz (a character in Josh’s tale — and a character in real life, actually) talking about bars in New Orleans. He’s not saying anything that anybody with passing familiarity of the city won’t already know, but still.
Lutz, of course, is mentioned in the “Luncheon” chapter of Letters from New Orleans. (A book that goes sadly unmentioned on the site linked above, but I guess that’s because it’s not about Katrina. That’s okay. Go check it out anyway.)
